I found this book difficult to get my head into the story because there really isn't one. The author strings together a group of incidents to depict living in New York. Perhaps others will find it entertaining. I didn't.
The key characters, if there are any, appear to be best friends Marie and Simona; Sid Morris, an art teachern; Helen, an acquaintance from art class; and Elizabeth, an upstairs tenant in Marie's home. I liked the characters but thought that the book rambled and focused on unimportant details at times.
