As always, this is a great story. Actually, this is a pair of stories in which Harry Bosch is the main character. He is working as a volunteer on cold cases in the San Fernando Police Department when a pair of pharmacists are found killed in their local drug store. Meanwhile, an old LAPD case comes back to haunt Harry. A man on death row claims that there is new evidence that proves that he could not have been the killer. He claims that Harry Bosch planted incriminating evidence.

Since Harry left the LAPD under a cloud, the current detectives are not eager to protect Bosch. Thus, it is up to Micky Haller and Harry to prove that Harry had not been dishonest in the case 30 years before.

The Harry Bosch series just keeps getting better. 4.5 stars
