I picked this up because a friend of mine recommended it. I was neither disappointed nor particularly impressed.
There seems to be an interesting premise buried somewhere under the characters and narration. The author doesn't seem to quite be sure of the narrator's voice which results in a fairly unsympathetic lead.
I did order the next 2 books in the series because I was curious about the rest of the story.
