This is an excellent series and all of the volumes are currently listed on paperbackswap.com This volume covers the l950's (my youth and early marriage years) and I loved it. All of the volumes in this series are currently listed and cover the periods from the dawn of the century to the end of the 20th century. This is not heavy history; it is a realistic retelling of historical events in the 50's and how everyday characters like ourselves are forced to deal with events which affect our daily lives. It is the beginning of our "un-declared" wars and the draft which affected so many of our spouses. "Rock & Roll" and our involvement in Viet-Nam. Also; Marilyn Monroe, John Kennedy, the space race, etc. and a character that reminds us of Elvis. The author nailed the l950 era. Read it; you'll like it.
