I was happily reminded why I loved this series. I have missed Harry ("hells bells") and this one jumped straight into his crazy mixed up world of magic, vampires, conspiracies, werewolves... not to mention a new creature, of which I am happy to say that it only exists within this book. It is true that this one is a little bit more on the darker side in that there isn't too much to hope for (except for the continued life of Harry, but what else is new) due to everything that happens, but now the books that follow can go into the Black Council and the HUGE battle that I'm sure will pop its head up soon.
