An ancient chair is handed down from generation to generation, always given to the first-born son. If the chair is given to any other child other than the first-born son and the child sits in it, he mysteriously disappears. The chair makes its way to Joey, who is deathly afraid of the chair after watching his step-brother disappear from it. He can come close to the chair and hear screams and cries of other children. Is the chair evil? What does his strange Uncle Lucien have to do with the chair and why does he want him to sit in it so badly?
A very interesting story that reminds me of some of Stephen King's short stories. Good mystery, supernatural, and horror elements combine to make this a fast-paced read.
