I highly recommend this book for anyone with a late-talking child who seems otherwise normal. My late-talking son fit the profile in the book: engineers and musicians as parents/grandparents, gifted in many ways,understanding speech and simply not talking much until he was almost five.

Although written by scholars, this book is accessible to intelligent parents.
