PBS Money allows you to use the optional PBS Printable Postage feature when mailing out a book. Also, when requesting a book, if a 49-cent Swap Fee is needed, it will be taken from your PBS Money balance (note: Standard Membership enrollment means you don't pay Swap Fees).  You can purchase PBS Money in the Kiosk.

You can also use PBS Money to purchase anything in the Kiosk or PBS Market if you like.

How PBS Money works

• PBS Printable Postage: your wrapper Settings page will show the estimated weight of your package and the corresponding postage (for First Class rate if the weight is 7 ounces or less, and Media mail if over 7 ounces). 
  • When you click Print Wrapper Now, the postage + $0.55 PBS Printable Postage Fee (includes Instant Credit fee paid to PBS plus the fee paid to the online postage provider) will be deducted from PBS Money.
  • Once the postage has been printed, the PBS Money is non-refundable; be sure to check the package weight and postage amount on the Wrapper Settings page and the confirming box that comes up before clicking to confirm that you want to print.
  • A printed wrapper cannot be refunded; you can reprint the wrapper any number of times without being re-charged (but of course you can use it only for one shipment).
• PBS Money used to print wrappers  is not routinely refundable, as it says on the Wrapper Settings page.  Be sure you print only wrappers you intend to use.

How to put funds into your PBS Money account:

•  You can do this from the PBS Kiosk.  To get to the Kiosk:
  • Click Kiosk in the toolbar at the top of any page on the site and choose PBS Money there

OR

• Click the green + sign on your PBS Money account balance at the top of your account page

OR

• Click the link "Add PBS Money to Your Account" on your Wrapper Settings page

THEN

• Scroll to the bottom of the PBS Money item in the Kiosk and adjust the amount. You can put any amount between $0.01 and $100.00 there. Then click Add to Cart.
• On the Cart page, choose your Checkout option on the right:
  • You can use PayPal, a credit or debit card to check out online

If you want to send in a money order/check for a Kiosk purchase by snail mail, address it to:

If you send in a check or money order by mail, please be sure to include:

• your full name (in the form that you used to register at PBS)
• a notation of what the payment is for (in this case, PBS Money)
• Please allow 10 days for your payment to be applied to your account.

How to track your PBS Money

• You can see your PBS Money account balance at the top of your account page, next to your credit balance. (It also appears on the Wrapper Settings page when you go to print a wrapper.)
  • You can click the green + sign on your PBS Money account balance in both places to add to your PBS Money account.
• You can view the last 60 days of PBS Money account activity in your PBS Money Registry, linked from "Money" at the top of your My Account page.
